We're an award-winning StoryBrand Marketing Agency that helps Service Businesses clarify their messaging so everyone wants to work with you!
If your message isn’t landing—and the right clients aren’t showing up—it’s not your fault. Most service business owners are great at what they do. They just struggle to talk about it clearly.
In this video, I’ll walk you through how we fix that using the StoryBrand Framework, plus how to get started with either DIY or done-for-you options.

Can your mom explain what you do?
Can you easily explain what you do?
Can anyone?
If not, that's the problem we fix.
Because when people don’t understand what you do, they move on. You end up working harder just to stay in the game.
You’re always re-explaining yourself
Your website doesn’t convert visitors into clients
Your leads aren’t the right fit
Referrals become scarce
Marketing is frustrating as all hell
But it doesn’t have to be this way. A clear message makes all of that easier. It’s the difference between chasing leads—and attracting the right ones.
You might not believe it yet, but marketing can actually be the opposite of frustrating when you're doing it right.
Whether you want to learn the system or hand it over completely, the goal is the same: clear messaging that brings in better clients with less effort.

Your story isn’t just important—it’s the reason people will choose your business. Let’s make sure it’s heard loud and clear by the people who need it most.
And sorry if I got Pink Floyd stuck in your head just now...
In this short clip, StoryBrand founder Donald Miller explains why a clear message and a simple, focused marketing plan are non‑negotiable if you want steady growth.
You’ll hear him describe what a full StoryBrand campaign includes, why assets like newsletters still matter, and how working with a certified guide helps you stop wasting time and money on the wrong tactics.
Watch this to see how StoryBrand campaigns become one part of a larger Failure‑Proof Marketing System and why partnering with a StoryBrand Certified Guide can make your marketing calmer, clearer, and a lot more effective.

Whether you need help with strategy, websites, content, or SEO, I offer the full range of StoryBrand marketing services—done with you or done for you.

Whether you want to build it yourself or hand it off completely, as a StoryBrand Marketing Agency, we’ll give you a clear message and a simple system that actually works.

Walk away with a message that resonates, a plan that’s easy to follow, and marketing that works while you sleep and finally delivers results.
Most discovery calls feel like a polite ambush followed by an awkward pitch for services you do not need. This is not that.
We’ll talk through:
What’s actually happening in your marketing
Where things are getting stuck
What would make the biggest difference fastest
If you’re tired of losing time and money to marketing that still doesn’t bring in the right clients consistently, this is the place to figure out what’s actually going wrong.
FIXING YOUR MARKETING SHOULDN’T FEEL IMPOSSIBLE

Most small business owners aren’t marketers—they just want to explain what they do in a way that makes people care.
But when the message isn’t clear, everything else gets harder: websites don’t convert, leads go cold, and social posts fall flat.
You might worry that getting it right will take too much time, cost too much money, or feel like just another online course you’ll never finish.
That’s why I offer three simple paths: do-it-together support through the StoryBrand Course, 1:1 and team coaching, or done-for-you services where I build your full funnel myself.
You’ll get clear messaging, practical templates, and real support—so your marketing finally works and your business actually grows.
We know marketing can feel overwhelming, and you probably have questions. That’s why we’ve put together answers to the things people ask us most.
We’re the StoryBrand marketing agency that skips the boring "corporate speak." We blend the power of StoryBrand with strategic marketing solutions to craft content that feels human, genuine, and impossible to ignore.
Our strategic marketing solutions simplify your message, clarify your brand story, and help you connect with your ideal customers. It’s marketing that makes sense and gets results – no jargon, no gimmicks, just growth.
Think of StoryBrand as a cheat sheet for marketing clarity. It helps you explain what you do in a way that makes people stop, listen, and say, “Oh, I get it.” We use it to create marketing that feels human and that your audience will actually enjoy reading.
Not at all! Whether you’re a StoryBrand superfan (like us!) or have no idea what it is, we’ll walk you through everything. We’re here to make the process simple, clear, and (dare we say) fun.
If people keep saying “I don’t really get what you do,” or you’re getting the wrong kind of leads, it’s a sign your message needs work. That’s what we fix.
The course is built for time-strapped business owners. You get short lessons, plug-and-play templates, and live support so you’re never stuck or overwhelmed.
The course gives you training, tools, and weekly support so you can do it yourself. The done-for-you option means I build your whole funnel for you.
Most people see clearer messaging and better engagement within a week of applying the one-liner. Bigger results (like leads and conversions) follow as you apply it across your marketing.
Many people try to apply StoryBrand on their own and miss key parts. This course walks you through it step-by-step, with real examples and live feedback from a Certified Guide.
Let’s make marketing feel less robotic and more real. Find resources from a StoryBrand Marketing Agency that bring your message—and your business—to life.

Imagine trying to fit your whole marketing strategy on one page. Not the back of a napkin, not a PowerPoint deck with 78 slides, but an actual, useful one-page snapshot you can stick on your wall and still understand after three cups of coffee.
That’s what John Jantsch has created. In a recent episode of the Duct Tape Marketing Podcast, he broke down a framework that took him 15 years to perfect. It’s called the Duct Tape Marketing Snapshot, and it covers everything you need: brand strategy, growth strategy, and customer strategy.
It’s tidy. It’s practical. And it makes most marketing plans look like overcooked spaghetti.
Let’s break it down.
The Snapshot condenses your entire marketing strategy onto one page
It focuses on three core parts: brand, growth, and customer strategy
You’ll define things like your mission, your ideal client, how you capture leads, and how you keep customers
The goal is to stay clear, consistent, and profitable

FAQs About the One-Page Brand Strategy Framework
1. What is the Duct Tape Marketing Snapshot?
2. Why should I use a one-page strategy instead of a full marketing plan?
3. What’s included in the brand strategy section?
4. What’s the difference between growth strategy and customer strategy?
5. Is this the same as a StoryBrand BrandScript?
6. How do I know if my core message is working?
John’s beef with traditional marketing plans is simple. They’re too long, too vague, and too easy to forget. Most business owners build a 40-page document, then promptly ignore it.
This one-page approach works because you’ll actually use it. You can glance at it before a pitch, share it with your team, or use it to gut-check a shiny new marketing idea.
And it’s built to follow how your customers actually behave.
Start with who you are and who you serve. Your brand strategy needs to cover:
Your mission, vision, and values
Your brand personality (yes, even if your brand is just you in sweatpants)
Your ideal client—not just demographics, but how they think and what they need
Your core message, which should explain how you solve your customer’s biggest problem
Your primary marketing channels—which is where your message will live
The brand strategy section forces clarity. If you can’t name who you serve and what you stand for, the rest of your plan will wobble like a dodgy table leg.
Here’s where most small businesses get stuck. You’ve got a good service. You’ve got a decent website. But leads? Not so much.
This section covers:
Awareness: how people discover you
Lead capture: how you collect names and emails
Lead nurture: how you build trust and move them toward buying
A brand love plan: how you turn customers into raving fans
Lead conversion: how you close the deal
John also talks about trust. And he’s right. In a world where everyone is pushing AI generated slop out into their feeds, trust is the quiet advantage that wins.
One thing I tell my clients (and I mean this with love): If your audience doesn’t trust you, they won’t even open your email, never mind click your offer.
You’ve closed the sale. Great. But what now?
The last section focuses on what happens after someone buys, and this is the easiest part for small businesses to forget about:
Onboarding: setting up a strong first experience
Customer experience: staying consistent and responsive
Retention: getting them to come back
Expansion: offering more value
Referrals: getting them to bring their friends
Partner referrals: working with other businesses who serve the same clients
This is where your profit lives. Most small businesses are sitting on hidden revenue because they don’t have systems for referrals or retention. It’s not about squeezing more from customers. It’s about serving them better and earning their loyalty.
I am a Duct Tape Marketing strategist myself, and I use the same format in my StoryBrand and Duct Tape Marketing sessions. Because simple frameworks work.
The beauty of this one is that it’s not theory. It’s a checklist. A roadmap. A mirror.
If you want to stop guessing, start here. It’ll help you see where your message is weak, where your customer journey leaks trust, and where your growth plan depends a bit too much on “vibes.”
And if you’re not sure what your message should be?

One page. One line. That’s where strategy starts.
If your customer strategy section felt a bit too high-level, this one zooms in with real-life ways to build loyalty, trust, and connection—without adding noise or fluff.
Your growth strategy relies on trust. This article shows how fast that trust can vanish when tech replaces clarity, and why your framework’s human-first approach matters more than ever.
Your core message is only as strong as its foundation. This article explains why the StoryBrand method pairs so well with the Snapshot framework, especially when your brand message needs to cut through the clutter.
If you want to put your customer retention and referral plans into action, this piece gives you clear, tactical ways to do it with email and loyalty tools that don’t require a marketing degree.
This deep dive into customer experience data explains what actually drives repeat business—and how the emotional side of CX feeds directly into your one-page strategy’s success.
It’s a one-page marketing strategy framework created by John Jantsch. It helps small businesses organize their brand, growth, and customer strategy in one simple, actionable document.
Because you’ll actually use it. Long plans often get ignored. This one keeps you focused, saves time, and makes it easier to communicate your strategy with others.
Your mission, values, brand personality, core message, ideal client profile, and the primary channels you’ll use to build awareness and trust.
Growth strategy covers how you attract, nurture, and convert leads. Customer strategy covers everything after the sale—onboarding, retention, expansion, and referrals.
Not quite. The Snapshot complements StoryBrand by giving you a structure for how your message fits into your broader marketing system. It’s the strategic “where and how” to StoryBrand’s “what and why.”
If your ideal clients hear it and say, “That’s exactly what I need,” it’s working. If they look confused, scroll past, or ask what you actually do, it’s not clear enough.
Use it to guide all your marketing decisions—from website copy to email campaigns to sales conversations. And keep it visible. This isn’t a file for the bottom drawer.
